I started with a survey of the existing network; the result was a document describing the state of the network and a proposed naming convention for the devices.

preparation of the migration to MSTP and integration of Cisco switches into the 3Com network, support during the deployment of Cisco Nexus and Catalyst 3850,
failover pair of Cisco ASA as a VPN gateway replacing the aging PIX, remote access via AnyConnect,
Cisco WLC wireless controllers with RADIUS authentication and guest access.
